OxL Reference

error unresolved-name

error Standard: [§2.2]

What it means#

The name is not declared in the current scope, in the enclosing module, in an import, or in the prelude std.core (§2.2). Declarations inside a module may appear in any order (§2.1), so the cause is usually a typo, a missing use, or a name that is private to another module.

Example#

oxl✓ checked in CI
fn main() {
  let total = 10
  print(totl)      // <- unresolved-name
}
error
unresolved-name

How to fix#

oxl✓ checked in CI
fn main() {
  let total = 10
  print(total)
}

Correct the spelling, or import the name with use. If it exists but is hidden, see visibility.
