error io-error

error Standard: [§1.1]

What it means#

The driver could not open or read a source file, a directory of the package, or another input it was asked to compile. Source files must be readable .oxl files in UTF-8 (§1.1) and a module is a directory under src/ (§2.1). The diagnostic carries the operating-system reason (missing path, permission denied, not a directory).

Example#

sh
$ oxl check src/billing/charge.oxl // <- io-error (the file does not exist or is unreadable)
error[io-error]: cannot read 'src/billing/charge.oxl': No such file or directory

How to fix#

sh
$ ls src/billing
charge.oxl
$ oxl check src/billing/charge.oxl

Make sure the path exists, is spelled correctly, and that the current user may read it. Module files live in directories under src/, so check the directory layout as well.
