error actor-not-hosted

error Standard: [§12.1, §12.5]

What it means#

When the program has a cluster, every sharded actor must appear in the hosts clause of at least one role; otherwise no node could activate it.

Example#

oxl✓ checked in CI
actor Cart sharded by id: u64 { msg add() { } }   // <- actor-not-hosted
cluster demo { role api { } }
error
actor-not-hosted

How to fix#

Add hosts Cart to a role: role api { hosts Cart }.
