cmd oxl build

oxl build [path] [-o out] [--profile p] [--target t] [--static] [--image ref] [-j N] [--codegen-units N] [--linker l]

compile a package or a single .oxl file; --static links a fully static executable (glibc, libstdc++ and the runtime's libraries inside; implementation extension, D-7703); --image oci:<dir>[:tag] writes an OCI image layout, --image <name>[:tag] an OCI archive build/image/<name>-<tag>.tar (no docker; the program, its shared libraries, the CA bundle); the program is compiled in parallel: --codegen-units N (1..256; default automatic: 1 for a small module, up to 8; also [profile.<name>] codegen-units and OXL_CODEGEN_UNITS) sets the number of objects, which is what the output depends on, -j/--jobs N (OXL_JOBS; default: the cores) the threads, which never change the output; --linker auto|lld|bfd|gold|default|<path> (OXL_LD) picks the linker (auto: lld when installed)
